Xmas gift ideas for men: 5 ideas that won’t break the bank #TescoXmasinJuly

This post is part of the BritMums project with Tesco.

If you are like me, then you really, really struggle to know what to buy for that special fella in your life. And I don’t mean the bloke that sells you chocolate in the local newsagent..

I mean the one that you go home to ever night, and if you are like me, you actually feel motivated to cook for most night *no harm in the odd sneaky takeaway*

I always struggle to find something for the other half, but this year I was determine to have some ingenious ideas for him, so here we go. Hopefully these will help you out too:

Cheese and Jelly gift pack

After women, and beer, cheese often comes a close third for man’s obsession. These gift packs pair some wonderful cheeses with their perfect Jelly partners, a match made in heaven.

Ales and cheeses

I know this also involves cheese, but as these gift packs couple it with one of the other obsessions for the man in your life you can’t go wrong. Complete it with a kiss, and you are there!

Retro car and radio dairy fudge

“His eyes are bigger than his stomach.” And if this is the case with the man in your life, then perhaps combining the stomach passion with the passion for cars that they might have means you are on to a winner? This fudge tin is certainly a little bit different, just as long as he doesn’t think its a clue for a bigger gift of the actual car, eh?!?

Remote controlled car

Though I suppose if he does, perhaps this is the solution? My son got a remote controlled car for Christmas last year, and I suspect that there was more than a hint of jealousy from the other big kid in the house. So why not get some inspiration from the toy aisle this year, and get him a car after all. Just a bit smaller and affordable than a full size one :-)

5. Belgian chocolate truffle kit; made with the kids

Perhaps this is a little different, but I think that this would go down a treat. We have bought a chocolate truffle kit, and we are going to make it together and give our mis-shaping, lovingly crafted chocs to him. The kids have had a hand in making them, and so they are all the more special. What man wouldn’t love a bit of chocolate made by his kids own fair hands?

So there are my five top picks from Tesco for the man in your life…anyone got any other ideas to help us all out. It’s not easy keeping the old fella happy, you know!

This are really neat gift ideas. I'd go for the retro car. It's awesome to have just lying on your desk. It just is a great addition to the interior! The others i'd definitely consider but the retro car is just the best for me. for someone who drinks wine then the first choice would be good then a personal wine tasting can happen at home or a sweet dinner together. cheers
