This is the cutest winter craft you are going to find – well that may possibly be an exaggeration, but it IS adorable. This is an easy penguin craft for you and the kids to do in the holidays, or anytime you would just love to get the paper, scissors and creativity flowing in the house. It’s a make your own paper penguin gloves activity, and we think they are, quite simply, adorable!
Materials:
As always, we don’t have too much for you required to create this gorgeous penguin craft. Hopefully you already have some of this in the classroom, or around the home:
- Cardboard,
- Template to cut out the relevant shapes – this is available if you scroll down this article a little more,
- Constructions papers (Orange, blue, white, light blue, green, black, and light green),
- Pen,
- Pencil,
- Glue,
- Scissor,
- Double sided tape,
- Pom pom ball,
- Googly eyes, and
- Silver glitter.
How to make the penguin craft
- Print and cut the template provided. Be careful in cutting the templates.
- Once you cut it, paste or trace the template to its respective construction papers and cut it again. You may refer to our photo to be sure which template needs to be cut from which paper. All of these images will provide you with excellent guidance on what you need to do here.
- After cutting, assemble the gloves craft by referring to the photo. Just repeat the process. Use the double sided tape to attach the templates together. There are quite a few steps here, so it is definitely worth referring to the pictures for these steps, just so you know that you are headed in the right direction with your penguin craft. We wouldn’t want the little penguins to be slightly askew as you got confused now, would we?
- Now that you have assembled it by popping the penguin onto the blue paper glove, you just need to add a bit of sparkle. Put glitter on the four small circles. Then attach it to the upper portion of the gloves.
- Finish the craft by adding small dots using white construction paper. And you’re done!
