On our Parent Blogging All Stars today we have Rachel who blogs over at Oogiah.  Rachel’s friend encouraged her into blogging and here she gives us a bit more insight …..

Your Name:

Rachel Teichman

Blog Name:

OOGIAH

What are the sexes and ages of your children?:

Girl, 5 3/4 :)
Boy, 2 1/4 :)

What got you into parent blogging?:

I got into parent blogging because a friend said I should! I figured if she wanted to read about what I was doing with my toddler at the time, maybe other people would too! I decided to share things we cooked, crafted and played together, to inspire others!

What is your top parenting tip to share with our readers? Can be on any topic for little ones :-) (under 8s):

Make the little moments counts. That doesn’t mean you need to go all out in planning the time you spend together. Parents can get caught up in party planning and summer camp decisions. But it’s those trips to the playground and cuddles on the couch, that take no planning, which are so important.

Can you share a parenting advice post with us from your blog too; your favourite one? Why do you like this post? Please include the link for
us.:

This book review contains some of my favorite quotes from “Yiddish Wisdom,” which can relate to parenting.

“If you want to, you can move the whole world.”

“One mother achieves more than a hundred teachers.”

“You can’t ride in all directions at one time.”

“Little children have big ears.”

“There can never be too many drinking glasses, or too many children.”

Helen is a mum to two, social media consultant, and website editor; and this site is (we think) the only Social Enterprise parenting magazine!Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time.KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10.It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania.Helen has worked as a digital marketing consultant (IDM qualified) with various organisations, including Channel Mum, Truprint, Talk to Mums, and Micro Scooters. She loves to be creative in the brand campaigns she works on.Get in touch TODAY!
