This week’s Parent Blogging All Star is Jodie of Mothering Frights who is a mum to two boys and writes an honest review about her own parenting skills. Make sure you read her blog, you are going to love it!
Your Name:
Jodie Newman
Blog Name:
What are the sexes and ages of your children?:
Two boys, aged 5 and 2.
What got you into parent blogging?:
Well, I already loved to write and having written a book about the funny side of being pregnant and a first time mum I wanted to carry on… it is important that I am honest about my parenting skills (mediocre) and how kids can sometimes make you feel (like chewing your own fist off).
What is your top parenting tip to share with our readers? Can be on any topic for little ones :-) (under 8s):
My tip is to try and find the funny side of parenting. Sometimes, it is very, very well hidden, but the parenting journey is so ludicrous, wonderful and challenging that laughing about it afterwards is the only way to deal with it. That and a large glass of wine.
Can you share a parenting advice post with us from your blog too; your favourite one? Why do you like this post? Please include the link for us.:
I don’t really do parenting advice, as that would mean I would have something useful to say and would fancy myself as a bit of an expert. Wrong on both counts. But here is a recipe for a family day out: http://motheringfrights.wordpress.com/2014/03/19/a-tasty-recipe-for-a-family-day-out/
Who’s your favourite parent blogger at the moment and why? Please include a link to their blog home page.:
I love www.gourmetmum.tv. She is a genius in the kitchen, and stops me hauling the fish fingers out of the freezer. Again. Delicious, simple recipes that are healthy and budget conscious. What more could you ask for?
