In our house, Christmas starts on the 1st December, when we put up the tree.
I know that this isn’t for some, but I have this from my parents, and I can’t change it. As soon as the calendar ticks from November to December then I am there, tinsel in hand, spreading glitter and love about the house.
Can’t help it, so my husband and the kids just go with the flow.
However, I am not in the least bit organised around Christmas with the kids despite this wish to always decorate my house as soon as the month starts.
In fact, online chopping has been my saving grace, and I can’t abide crowds…and if there is one thing there is an abundnace of in these coming weeks, it is crowds.
Therefore, I need some help -so what better way to get some than ask my lovely blogging friends to hit me with their Christmas Tips, and also to help them to find some more.
With this in mind, this month#s Parenting Tips linky is all about those little tips that make Christmas a little easier, for example:
- Ways to save so you don’t end up having to eat bread and water in January
- Cooking tips to make the perfect family Christmas dinner
- Present tips for the hard to buy husband, or stocking fillers and ideas for the kids
- Parenting tips this this specific season so that Christmas by Boxing Day your kids aren’t at each other’s throats, and you aren’t reaching for the Sherry at 9am.
Anything really, that’s a tip and has a Christmas vibe to it. I’ll pin anything relevant to both my lovely Christmas board on my Pinterest profile – so check it out:
As well as my Parenting Tips board if they are relevant. Bear with me though as it may take me a week or so to get around to it, as I am probably trying to Christmas shop and blog at the same time.
