A few months ago, I have the honour of becoming one of the Channel Mum vloggers, and as part of this I was very kindly given a Panasonic Video Camera for taking my vlogs with. It is actually an HC W570 camcorder, but that probably means a little to you as it does to me. What YOU need to know is whether of not is actually works properly, it is easy to use with the kids around, and whether or not it’ll drive you nuts with its technology-type stuff – right?

I have put together FIVE of the key reasons why I think that this video camera is great as a family camcorder. Yes, I was given it for free, BUT I love it. We have had a camcorder before, and I was scared to use it. In fact, my husband tended to take the video footage in this family – not great for an aspiring vlogger really, eh?
Therefore, I was a little terrified of a) becoming a vlogger and b) using a video camera for myself without him telling me which buttons to press.
Yes, I know that is all “damsel in distress” silly, and yes its even more ridiculous for someone that is actually running a website and supposed to be rather tech savvy, but it is how it actually was; so you’ll have to forgive me, won’t you?
I needn’t have been too concerned. I am totally anti-instruction booklet. I would rather watch the complete series of The Only Way is Essex back to back than read instructions for anything. I feel the need to be able to do technology IMMEDIATELY. Why bother reading something first, such a waste of time.
