Light up the sky with a message of love and donate to Macmillan #LightSky

Would you like to send a video message to your loved ones written in the stars? npower has recently teamed up with Amanda Holden in aid of Macmillan Cancer support to create the world’s first interactive hologram set against the night sky.

Set at the observation point on the London Southbank from 29th November to 1st December, you can send dazzling animated messages of love to family and friends and watch as they light up the night sky.

<< Yes – I want to send a message of LOVE to light up the London night sky today >>

The amazing thing is that if YOU take part, you are raising money for the Macmillan Cancer Charity. They are aiming to raise £30,000 through this campaign with every message generated. Since 2004 Macmillan and npower have partnered together to create the Macmillan Fund to help those who suffer from cancer fight the cold. As 1 in 3 people undergoing cancer treatment often experience feeling colder due to the side effects of treatment, npower’s Macmillan Fund has given fuel grants support to those affected with cancer.

To add to this, the gorgeous Amanda Holden was at the South Bank yesterday to unveil the Light Sky campaign.

She was lucky enough to be able to send the first message up above the skyline. You can donate up until Friday 1st December at 3pm (or until there are no more slots), and messages will be projected on the 29th, and 30th November as well.

Amanda said about the campaign that:

“I feel so privileged to be a part of this campaign. Having seen first-hand the impact that cancer can have,  know that being able to heat your home while undergoing treatment is so important for people, and allows them to focus on their health and keep warm without the worry.  npower’s Light Sky is a beautiful way to not only  share beautiful messages of love, hope and support this festive period, but to also donate to a worthy cause.”

The sky won’t be the only thing that lights up with such a personal, and beautiful message to those that you love this Christmas. It can’t fail to bring a smile to even the grumpiest of scrooges!

So why not visit The Light Sky and donate today. You’ll be supporting a worthy cause, and bringing a lot of light and love into someone’s life; all at the same time. Not bad for £4, eh?
