I have always been really skeptical about how much you can make on Adsense as a blogger. So when I found an answer that worked for me, writing about Adsense for bloggers seemed a sensible way to go. We are a medium sized website. KiddyCharts gets 460,000 PVs in a year. We are quite proud of that, its a good audience, almost half a million views, so we hope people don’t begrudge us from make a little money from the views we get, so we can keep giving our readers printable resources for free.
Small but perfectly formed? How can you make Adsense possibly work?
It may not be a huge amount of people compared to 11m from The Daily Mail, but it is a focused audience, and a good few brands are willing to pay to access our audience and the expertise that we provide in reaching and engaging with them. Adsense has always been an additional revenue stream for us, something that happened because people visited my site. However, in recent months, it really needed to work more for the site. That was when I decided it would be wise to employ a specialist Adsense partner, a certified ad partner on the site. Enter Ezoic.
Adsense for bloggers: From paying for my site hosting to being able to buy a kids bike every single month!
In March 2018, I made $72 from Adsense. Adsense for bloggers wasn’t really working for me. It just about paid for the hosting that we had for the kids; and we need a good deal because of the printable resources that we have.
Now, we are making over four times that amount, and could comfortably get the kids a new bike on the income that Ezoic are helping us generate; easily over $200 a month. That is an increase of almost 300%; 297% if you don’t round it up!
This is still not a lot we know, but when we haven’t been able to do ANYTHING with the money that Adsense has brought in, anything is worthwhile. The reason why Adsense for bloggers works so much better on the Ezoic platform is simple:
- They help you test it
- There is flexibility in how and where you display the advertising
- It is mobile friendly,
- It is personalised; you can show more or less ads depending on how comfortable you are AND it learns about your visitors and what they are comfortable with seeing on your site too,
- The support is great for dummies like me, and
- It is FREE to join. There is a paid version (Premium), but you don’t have to sign up to this at the beginning. We didn’t, and have started to use it because it proved its worth over the 6 month period we were signed up to the free solution.
Go on give Ezoic a go!
We don’t recommend services to other bloggers as a rule; we value the part we play within the community, and we don’t want to be seen to be pushing anything specific. However, this time, we feel comfortable doing it. Go and check it out; you can trial it. If you don’t like it, just don’t do it anymore. Some people aren’t comfortable with ads on their site. Adsense for bloggers doesn’t HAVE to be all about revenue on Ezoic, you can set the level of ad serving to what YOU are happy with.
Give it a go – and let us know how you get on. We’d love to hear from you.
As far as we are concerned, anything that is more passive, and allows me to spend more time looking after the kids has got to be worth a little investment up front. Try it. You might even like it.
Note: This post DOES contain affiliate links, but this really is how much we have increased revenue by on the site with Ezoic in the last 6 months. It is a great resource, and any questions, tweet us!
