We are delighted to be partnering with Trigger Publishing to offer this gorgeous Breathe Like a Bear mindfulness kids book in our first giveaway of 2020!

Breathe Like A Bear is a friendly introduction to mindfulness and meditation for children aged 4 – 8. With 30 mindful moments to help find calm and focus – at home, in the classroom, alone or with others – Breathe Like A Bear teaches children how to manage their bodies, breaths and emotions through fun, relatable activities and exercises.

Whether….

  • Visualising the sound of raindrops in a storm
  • Buzzing and wriggling around like a bumblebee
  • Waking up your face with expressive exercises
  • Getting your “grumpies” out
  • Stretching like a cat, or
  • Sending out good thoughts, and finally
  • Breathing like a bear

…this book teaches balance and calm, and life-long skills such as how to deal with anxiety, how to be more focused and how to find quiet in any situation.

Mindfulness – learning to be in the present moment – is a vital skill to learn at a young age.

Breathe Like A Bear promotes positive mindful habits and provides the tools to practise mindfulness, meaning children are better equipped to manage difficult emotional situations and their mental health. It is a long-term investment in their mental well-being. And the particular focus on conscious breathing provides a simple and accessible way of achieving calm anytime, anywhere.

Helen is a mum to two, social media consultant, and website editor; and this site is (we think) the only Social Enterprise parenting magazine! Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania. Helen has worked as a digital marketing consultant (IDM qualified) with various organisations, including Channel Mum, Truprint, Talk to Mums, and Micro Scooters. She loves to be creative in the brand campaigns she works on. Get in touch TODAY!

I'd like to win this book so I could give it to my niece who teaches first year primary school children in London. It would be a very useful tool for her to help teach the children techniques to improve their mental wellbeing whilst having fun.
