#goodwork postcard from Ghana: Celebrating 25 years of Comic Relief

You can’t have failed to notice that there are three bloggers, along with Wossy and Davina in Ghana at the moment, looking at the #goodwork that has been done by Comic Relief in the last 25 years.

Well today, I received a postcard from there that I will share with you.

Its from Mummy Barrow and about a mental health project that they went to visit. The project at the Basic Needs Trust really showed what a difference Ten Pounds makes to the suffering of those with mental health problems in Accra. You can see more about it on Mummy Barrow’s blog.

The project has enabled people like Atta Kwambe to break free from suicidal thoughts to such an extent that he now manages a business making sofas, tv stands, tables and chairs.

Here is what #teamhonk have to say:

“This is a digital postcard sent from TeamHonk (www.mammasaurus.co.ukwww.aresidence.co.ukwww.mummybarrow.com) during their travels with Comic Relief in Ghana celebrating #goodwork.

For the past 25 years the money raised through Red Nose Day has been changing the lives of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa. Let’s Keep Up the Good Work. Find out how at rednoseday.com

For other digital postcards please do check out the linky on www.teamhonk.org”

You have all done a wonderful job, and lets keep it all up for Comic Relief this year on the 15th March.

Now go check out all the other lovely postcards too!

Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania.
