Bible study kids notes: How to make bible study easier with kids using free printable

The Bible is the best-selling book of all time. We need not mention the number of people who have read it and found it immensely helpful and inspiring. And yet, many Bible readers find themselves at a loss when it comes to what to do with their bible study time. This is never more true than when children are reflecting on its teaching, so we have some bible study kids notes to help today. Hopefully you will find these useful. They are a free download for anyone in our Time to Pee club.

Note: We are an inclusive, global site – these are Bible Notes because we have Christian readers, but we will, over time, produce other resources as appropriate for other religions.

As always, we are going to give you a little overview of what you can expect from the bible study kids notes. We have split the printable into a number of different sections, so that you can discuss the versus, and the interpretations of the scriptions with your children as you see fit.

The notes sheet includes:

  • Spaces for the to add the book, chapter and verse of the scripture so that your child always has this for reference,
  • Section for the date so that you can include what study lesson this note refers to,
  • Place to put the key verses that you and your children feel are the most important within that specific section of God’s teachings,
  • Space to write relevant Prayers and Praises for this section of the Scriptures too.

We have tried to make the notes bold as well, so that they are more interesting for the children to work with.

Why not take a look at them below?

If you aren’t sure how to work with Bible Study, then perhaps it is worth reflecting on the SOAP method of Bible Study?

What is the SOAP method of Bible Study?

This uses a really simple principle and doesn’t require any theological background to understand. SOAP focuses on:

  • Scripture: Simply writing out the text can help you understand the messages and ideas within it, and this works for kids too, depending on their age of course,
  • Observation: Who is the verse for? What does it make your children think of? What words are used? Are there any words used a lot, or emphasized? Here it is really important to ask simplistic questions, depending on the age of the children. Keep it simple, but involve them as much as possible,
  • Application: Let the children think about what the scripture means for them today – applying the ideas to their lives, and thoughts where they can. What have your kids done recently, and how can the scripture help them to change for the better, and behave in a Christian way?
  • Prayer: If the children feel that God has revealed his Word to them within the study, then use this time for Prayer.

This methodology works well with individuals or even small groups.
