Mama Owl – Parenting Blogging All Stars #3

This week, we have another one of our parent blogging all stars for you to find out about; and also to give you some invaluable parenting tips and insights – its Mama Owl.

Blog Name:
Mama Owl

What are the sexes and ages of your children?:
Girls – 14 & 2
Boys – 12, 9 & 7

What got you into parent blogging?:
It was initially meant to be somewhere to store & share my recipes & meal plans, and grew from there.

What is your top parenting tip to share with our readers? Can be on any topic for little ones :-):
There is no such thing as the perfect parent, don’t live up to other peoples expectations. Just do your best.

Can you share a parenting advice post with us from your blog too; your favourite one? Please include the link.:
This is my post to share. Its not really much of a tip but this is my opinion on why I’m pleased to be a selfish mum ;)

I am sharing it because too much time is spent worrying over being judged as a parent or doing the “wrong” thing & not just doing what works for you, and sometimes you have to be selfish.

Who’s your favourite parent blogger at the moment and why?:

My favourite has to be Trying My Patients such a wonderful blog! I love how real it is, the posts never fail to make me laugh or cry! It’s frontline NHS without any “gloss”, told from the perspective of someone who is there experiencing it firsthand in their own words. Always brilliantly written, and often moving.

If you would like us to cover your blog here, then do drop us a line. All you need to do is fill out the parent blogging allstars form and you are away! We will feature a new blogger that we like every week if we can; you’ve got to be in it to win it!

Helen is a mum to two, social media consultant, and website editor; and this site is (we think) the only Social Enterprise parenting magazine! Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. KiddyCharts has reach of over 1.1million across social and the site. The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania. Helen has worked as a digital marketing consultant (IDM qualified) with various organisations, including Channel Mum, Truprint, Talk to Mums, and Micro Scooters. She loves to be creative in the brand campaigns she works on. Get in touch TODAY!
