Christmas board games: Help Santa deliver presents

We have a Christmas treat for you early this year; fun Christmas board games to get you into the spirit of Christmas sooner rather than later – this one has a Santa Claus theme for you. This is a lovely alternative to playing the odd card game at Christmas. Let’s make Christmas 2021 one to remember. All the more special because of the recent Christmases being a wee bit “bah humbug” perhaps?

This is a classic roll the die board Santa Claus game that is so simple to set up, and even easier to play. It is simple enough to be a good family game, as even the little ones can play with you. The best thing about it, as always, is that its free to you as well. So whether you are planning to go all out this year with letters from Santa and Christmas Eve boxes, or not, this fabulous game adds something a little bit extra to the season. Start playing it a few weeks before the big day to cheer Santa on, and encourage your kids to get involved in Christmas sooner rather than later.

This also makes a lovely party game (or even a gift) for you, perhaps with the family around the big event? It might even distract the kids from thinking about all the toys they might be getting this year….

What Christmas Boards Games do we have for you?

We know you like to see what you are getting from the site, and that’s fair enough. So here you go – this is the Christmas Board Games item that we have for you this year:

As you can see, this is a classic, completed with dice, and Santa playing pieces.

All you need to get started with the board game is to:

  1. Cut out the Santa tokens that we have given you – and choose which Santa you would like to play with the most. We’ve got 6 Santas so you can have 6 players within the game – though you could make your own tokens if you needed to:
    • Santa carrying a Christmas Tree,
    • Santa in his coat,
    • Jumping Santa,
    • Santa checking out his list to make sure you are on it,
    • Santa getting the presents ready for the tree, and
    • Santa in his coat ready to tackle anything!
  2. Once you have cut out Santa, you need to get the die cut out too,
  3. Then connect the sides on the die, and
  4. Grab the people that you are wanted to play with, get started and begin!

If you print the designs on card stock, then they should last you a while – you can, of course, laminate them so that they stay with you even longer. Check out the laminate on Amazon if you aren’t sure what to get.

Pop your tokens on the START square, and use the die to work your way around the board, making sure that you follow the instructions if you land on the relevant squares within the game:

  • Advance 3 steps,
  • Sing a Christmas song,
  • Go back 2 steps,
  • Give your playmates a hug,
  • Lose a turn,
  • Go 4 steps back,
  • Dance to Jingle Bells,
  • Go back 3 steps, and
  • Your final winning square when you have helped Santa deliver all the presents.

We hope your little Christmas stars love this game, do let us know how you get on.
