Free homeschool timetable: Do you really need one?

We are all finding that we have been thrown in at the deepend, and have to start homeschooling the kids. For some of us, a homeschool timetable is a godsend as it helps us give structure to the day. For other the free homeschool timetable represents just another pressure and a worry in an already confusing time.

So, do we all really need a homeschool timetable?

Everyday is a new beginning. Take a deep breath and start again.

We are offering one to you here BUT this is not something you HAVE to do. Having a timetable of activities for your kids is a personal choice, and if it doesn’t work for you. Walk on by.

Homeschooling is something that we all have to get used to in our own way, and if the structure of a timetable puts too much pressure on you to achieve “Perfection” as a parent. Cut yourself some slack. We are in this together.

However, if you do want a little bit of structure, then we are here to help you, whether its with a few nice free printables, or that homeschool timetable, we will try and help.

We have tried to keep the timetable pretty simple, so it is easy to use, and so you can structure the day in whatever way works for you and the kids.

This means that there could be LOADS OF TIME WHEN YOU DON’T DO A THING.

Perhaps you can even schedule in some wine…..?!? 🍷🤣

See – you can do what you want with it?!?!

Joking aside (!), what you decide to do will depend on your kids’ age, as well as their and your attitude to learning.

We do have a little example here for a younger child – but don’t feel you even have to follow this. The homeschool timetable is for you to work through, and the day is yours.

We produced this timetable 2 weeks ago, and have debated whether or not we should share it with our readers. We don’t want to be a source of anxiety with you all. We’re here to help and not to hinder. BUT, we have had readers ask for it, so here is it for those that feel happy with the structure and direction.

We know this isn’t for everyone. Print it out and try it. If you find that it doesn’t work for you, and it is proving to give you more pain and pressure than patience and playfulness, then you gave it a go and it didn’t work.

Bin it! Take a look at our free coloring instead and do a spot of mindfulness instead.

We do also have a landscape version as well for those of you that like your timetables horizontal… 😂

The blog works with big family brands (including travel) to help promote their services, as well as offering free resources to parents of kids under 10.
