We’ve been busy looking for cool presents for the family already for Christmas and beyond. We’ve been lucky enough to come across some pretty cool gear on a new site we’ve found coolstuff.com. It’ll be no surprise that a blogger’s family love a bit of technology amongst their presents for birthdays and at Christmas. BUT, there is so much emphasis on tech presents, what is there out there that is just that little bit different, that will inspire, and be cool all at the same time? Not just for the kids, but for us as well?
1. Let’s go retro with our presents using a Polaroid Camera
Our first pick from the site is this fantastic Fujifilm Polaroid Camera (a 300 Instant). This is a fabulous vintage present for your kids, and possibly for you or a partner. It’s great to be able to take your picture, and instantly see it develop before your eyes. This is a fun camera for days out with family, messing about the friends, and taking pictures to stick on your bedroom wall. It isn’t for serious photographers, as the settings and capabilities don’t rank there with the phones and cameras out there. Don’t forget you also need the Fuijifim polaroid film for it too. This is an expense it is wise not to forget, but the price of this site for ten is a lot better than most other online retailers. Well worth sticking with them for it, if you do decide to buy it as a present for someone. In fact, it is the perfect present for a teen to mess about with when they are out and about with friends, and to create a cool collage for their wall.
2. Emoticons that charge
Our kids love emojis, and so do I *not so secretly* 😍. This smiley emoji power bank is just perfect for them – it’ll help to keep those all important phones charged when you are out for the day. Most critically though, it looks extremely cool.
You can buy a POO one. Who wouldn’t want to bring that out in the office, or at the school gate?!?
This makes a great stocking filler for an older child, or even part of your presents for a partner, that wants to take a little bit of fun into the office. The cat smiler is just the best as well; something a little different for those cat lovers out there.
3. Take your music into the bathroom with a waterproof speaker
Our youngest LOVES his music, he takes his iPhone into the bathroom to play it, and I am always massively concerned that there is going to be a water related incident. His mum doesn’t have a great track record with water and iPhones, or computers generally to be honest… 😉.
Thanks to this Vooni water proof speaker, there is no need to worry to much about the dangers of water damage. You can use it in the bathroom, and connect wireless to the music playlist you want to chill out to while the phone is in the bedroom!
That’s reason enough to get it, but it also looks pretty cool too. Result.
4. Lead-free charging for all the family
We get FED-UP with all the wires around our house; charing devices here there and everywhere. I’ve had to clean food off my charging cable in the past because *people* keep using it without asking.
This is a gorgeous looking solution to having far too many wires; being able to charge three devices on a station wirelessly.
You need to make sure all devices are compatible with the Qi technology used for this device. If your phones aren’t you can get cases that help, but this charger is designed to work with devices with built in capabilities.
This is a gorgeous looking piece of kit, and a perfect solution for those families that have a lot of devices. You won’t look back, or trip over those wires again!
5. Let’s get arty with tech using a 3D doodler
If you have an art mad child, then it’s hard to marry technology with their artistic talents. However, the 3D doodler is the perfect solution to this.
This is a rather amazing idea where kids are able to “draw in the air” using their special 3D tool, and the doodler plastic. You can buy extra colours and specific model sets for the doodler too, including a robotics kit.
The tool is really simple to use, and looks pretty funky too.
There are only two buttons on it, one for turning on and one of off. The plastic included within it is non-toxic, and odourless too.
Because safety is so key with little hands, the melting point of the plastic used within this tool is low, which means the plastic is only lukewarm when it comes out of the doodler. It is possible to mould it, but it isn’t too hot for those little fingers.
The robotics kits gives another dimension to the toy, allowing you or your kids to create moveable robots with the doodler. Imagine how their imaginations will fly with this?
Finally, if they have mastered the doodler, and are a little older, why not take a look at the Doodler Pro; this is a little more expensive, but for aspiring engineers, its the perfect present.
What will your little ones create?
We really hope you like these ideas, but if not, then there are plenty more funky, fun toys and gadgets on coolstuff.com; why not go and check it out.
Note: We were sent these items for our presents guide, but all opinions are our own.

All the five gadgets are cool and I like Bluetooth speaker the most.
I just wonder whether it could be reliable in rough use?
